We as the new generation of culturally and racially equal designers must celebrate our cultures as we have the influence to change society’s perception of minority designers. Truth is, we as diverse people haven’t experienced the same things and that itself is the power we hold as creatives. Equal opportunities allow us to produce excellent design when we as a cohort decide to leave our comfort zones and sincerely come together to appreciate faiths, cultures, disabilities, differences, races, ages, ideologies and personalities. These differences exist but they are not inevitable, there should be an equal standing for opportunity with the awareness and mindfulness of the fact that this opening comes with a history you cannot ignore. What will people say should not be a worry when women want to choose their career paths, let’s focus on what will people create from here on.
